Wayne was a close friend that I met when I was 12. We continued as close friends until his unexpected death. He always had a new joke to tell. We hitchhiked all over NC. We even made it to Charleston, SC. Prior to his leaving for the Navy in 1966. He was a good father to his son, Benjamin.

OMG I didn't know he had passed.  I'm sad to hear of it.  Gary I'll 1-up you on this one.   Wayne lived beside me on Dixie Trail when I was born up to age 4.   He would come over and we would play together in a sand pile. Wayne use to recount to me this story which as a 4 y.o. I could not remember but apparently he took my sand bucket and I got mad.   I picked up a metal fire truck and bashed him over the head resulting in him going to Dr.'s office for stitches.   He never let me forget that although but for him I didn't know it!!!   Hmm bout time to get rid of that guilt!! :)   Wayne was a good guy, just like you Gary Miller.
