Louis Edward Puckett

Smithfield - Louis Edward "Lou" Puckett, Jr., age 64, died Monday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Born June 29, 1948 he was a son of Mary Jane Edwards Puckett of Kennels Beach and the late Louis Edward Puckett, Sr. 

He was a retired Physician's Assistant for the United States Military and also worked at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC for over 20 years of dedicated service.  He worked in the Urgent Care, as a Physician's Assistant, up until his illness, which occurred on February 14, 2011.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh. The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. just prior to the service.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of over 40 years, Virginia Puckett of Smithfield; daughters, Lauren Puckett of Smithfield, and Amanda Puckett of Raleigh; brothers, Ronnie Puckett of Rolesville, and Ray Puckett of Garner; and one grandson, Rocco.
